Tesla Wall Connector, bidet outlet and gas line bonding in Apex

Three jobs in one visit to this 2005 Apex home: a 60-amp circuit for the homeowner's Tesla Wall Connector, an outlet for a bidet seat, and the CSST gas line bonding the electrical code requires. Done in a day, and it passed Town of Apex inspection.

The story

What the homeowner called about

He wanted his Tesla Wall Connector installed in the garage, an outlet for a bidet seat, and his CSST gas line bonded.

What we found

The charger was already on site, and the spot he wanted wasn't far from the panel. It's an exterior wall, so we'd have to open it up to run the cable.

What we couldn't know until we got there

Exactly where the charger would go in relation to the panel.

The options we gave him

A written price covering all three items.

What he chose, and why

All three: the charger circuit, the bidet outlet and the CSST bonding.

Why CSST bonding matters: CSST is the thin, flexible yellow gas line in many newer homes. Bonding it to the home's grounding system helps protect it from damage by a nearby lightning strike.
