“Do you know a good Plumber, Electrician, HVAC guy?”

Being in the service industry for years, questions like this came up with almost everyone we met. It seemed no one was ever happy with the last company they used and were usually charged an exorbitant amount of money. Well, we decided there was a better way to do service work. Two local families got together and opened ARC Electric with the idea that clean, courteous, and qualified customer service could be delivered at a fair price.

Our work is our Signature.

The ARC Promise

You get a straight answer and a real price. Nothing else.

We started ARC because nobody we met was happy with the last electrician they hired. So we set three rules and put them in writing.

Read the Promise
  • Free in-home quotes. No trip charge, no estimate fee, no obligation, anywhere in our service area.
  • No commission. Our electricians are paid the same whether you spend $150 or $15,000, so nobody is selling you a panel you don’t need.
  • Free second opinions. Got a big quote from someone else? We’ll look at it, in person, for free.
Where we work

Raleigh’s electrician, based in Wake County

Our shop sits on US-401 at the 540 interchange in Fuquay-Varina, which puts every part of Raleigh, from North Hills to Garner, and every town in Wake County inside our everyday range. We don’t sub-contract and we don’t send trucks from out of the area: the electrician at your door works for ARC and lives around here.

We pull permits with the City of Raleigh and Wake County inspections offices every week, so the paperwork is routine for us. If you’re unsure whether your town is covered, it almost certainly is; the service-area map shows every town, and if you’re in Wake County, we come out.

Need a permit yourself? Our permits directory lists every office, fee and inspection line for the towns we serve.

Scheduling the estimation and installation was extremely quick! Tav and Sammy arrived - both professional and efficient. Very happy with the job done by ARC and their team.

Quick answers

Do you charge a trip fee to come out?

No. In-home quotes are free anywhere in our service area, with no estimate fee and no obligation. You get a price before any work starts. That’s the ARC Promise.

Which areas do you cover?

All of Wake County and the surrounding Triangle: Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Garner, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Durham, Chapel Hill, Clayton and Angier, plus Lillington, Willow Spring and New Hill. The service-area page has the map.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. ARC Electric holds North Carolina Electrical Contractor License #29565 and is fully insured. We pull permits and schedule inspections for every job that requires them.

Do you really answer at 2 a.m.?

Yes. Emergency electrical service runs 24 hours a day, every day. Call (919) 888-3500; if you smell burning, see scorching at an outlet or panel, or have lost power to part of the house, call rather than wait for morning.

Can I find out if my panel can handle an EV charger before I call?

Yes. Our free electrical load calculator runs the NEC 220 numbers for your house and tells you how much headroom you have for a charger, hot tub, pool or addition. It takes about a minute.
