Time to spring forward this Sunday! Now is a great opportunity to replace smoke detector batteries.

Did you know?

• If a power outage occurs for 2 or more days, batteries should be replaced.

• Smoke detectors need to be cleaned regularly with a vacuum cleaner attachment to remove dust. This ensures that smoke can reach the alarms sensor.

• Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years, the manufacturing date is located on the back of the detector.

• Older homes built prior to 1993 were not required to have smoke detectors in every bedroom. Also, starting in 2011, carbon monoxide detectors were required on every level of a home.

Ronald McDonald House

It is with great honor that ARC has partnered to help with The Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake county annual toy, gift card, and non-perishable food drive ‪from November 1st through December 10th.‬

All our techs will have gift wrapped boxes to collect any toys or items you may wish to donate. Because the children’s immune systems are typically compromised, all toys must be new and unwrapped. Toys and gifts for babies, young children, teens, and parents would all be greatly appreciated. Since many families spend so much time in the hospital, non-perishable food items, which can fill up the parents’ pantry, are also a great opportunity for families to grab some food without having to take extra time away to go grocery shopping. Please help us bring smiles to these children and their families this holiday season!

And thank you for helping make The Ronald McDonald House a home this holiday season.
